Barst: Barts Impson.
Saji & Maji: Rather Identical, lots of hairbands.

Julian: I wonder if he likes to move it, move it?
Rena: Fairly sure it's supposed to be "Priestess"
: From a grammatical standpoint.
Navarre: Another of the She-male variety. Can't tell.
Merric: I wonder if he magicked his hair into its current color?
Mathis: What did he do to his hair!?
Hardin: The Ottoman.
Wolf: That better be a woman.
Sedgar: How and why do they color the armor?

Vyland: How do hair? It looks like he has a brick on his head.
Wendel: He's the Pope! Wait, Macedonia?
Ricardo: *Generic Spaniard noises*
Bantu: The fuck's a mamkute?
: "You speak that language. The language of the sushi rolls!"
Caesar: Gaius Julius.

Sampson: Just "Hero", he was just born that way.
: At birth they were like "It's a hero!"
Chainy: Oh, the fanfiction, especially with that name.
Est: He's the something- est.
Chiki: I wonder if that's a definition of her personality?
Lawrence: We've finally found an eyepatch.
Ellis: "Priestess", it's grammar. (After being told it's Marth's sister) She looks manlier than him.
Modorof: Pretty Russian.
Nina: Code Geass. Reminded of the one scene with that table.
Gato: Domo arigoto, Mr. Roboto.
Jiol: I have the feeling he's a bad guy.
Camus: Less like a Paladin, more like a Prince.
Misheil: The King of Macedonia. Strangely devoid of Balkan features.
Garnef: He doesn't look anything like a bishop.
Medeus: Are his eyes red? He's the bad guy.

Reunion +Merric-Marth+

A lone mage stood in a large field, his eyes closed as a gentle wind blew past. The day was nice and the weather warm, but many questions still filled his mind. Where was he? Why was he here? It wasn’t Archanea… so what purpose did he have here? How can he return home.

Where… where were his other friends?

As the wind subsided, Merric opened his eyes and stared off into the distance. The whole time he was here, he hadn’t seen anyone he recognized. It saddened the boy honestly. Sure, he had met another, so he knew he wasn’t alone in this place. But, without someone he recognized, someone he knew, it felt like he really was alone.

Letting out a silent sigh, he closed his eyes again as another wind blew through. His mind cleared instantly as it hit his body, those thoughts disappearing. He’d just need to give it some time. Perhaps he’ll find a buddy of his soon enough, like Elice or Marth… heck, even Ellerean would be well recieved by him.

The sounds of footsteps went unnoticed behind the mage went unnoticed.

He nodded to the mage’s words, “Yes… sounds like what happened to me, too. ” Pales? Archanea? He couldn’t remember hearing of either of the two places. Lightly he tapped his foot, raising a hand to cover his nose a bit. “Yeah- suppose it’d be better to go somewhere else…”

Ike took a couple steps forward, before looking back. “I’d still be interested to hear about Archanea. Also- I’m Ike… Ike of the Greil Mercanaries,” he wasn’t sure if the title would mean anything in this place, but the title was tied to him now. “I was in a place called Gallia.”

Questions sprang up to his mind as he looked around a bit, it wouldn’t hurt to ask any, he reasoned. “Does your land have any Laguz in it? What area of the continent is it at?”

So it looked like both of their situations were similar; both were sleeping and woke up in some foreign land. What were the odds.

Noticing the man step forward, Merric glanced up at him once he started speaking. “Oh, well i’d be glad to satisfy that interest then, Sir Ike.” He held his hand out before continuing the introductions. “And my name is Merric, a Wind Mage from Khadein. ‘Tis a pleasure to meet you.” Despite becoming curious about the Griel Mercenaries and of this Gallia area, he decided to save those questions for later. Following alongside him now, the mage raised his hand and placed it on his chin.

"Laguz? I’m afraid I’m not familiar with that term. I’m going to assume however that you’re speaking about species, and I don’t believe so. Humans and dragons, more specifically Manakete, are ones that roam our lands. They typically live around Dolhr." The boy looked up at Ike and blinked. "What are Laguz?"

Anyway, so far I owe replies to Ike and gotta make that starter for the quest with Elincia! i’ll get to them as soon as I can omg]

[Aah, would anyone like to do the ‘Lost Dog’ quest with Merric? I only have one RP going and I think i’d like to get another going, and that quest seems interesting enough hehe]

Upon reaching the village, the young mage was quickly greeted by the faint smell of cow manure. Merric waved his hand in front of his face a bit, attempting to waft away the smell as best he could. Finding himself unable to completely however, he stopped and instead turned his gaze around, attempting to ignore the foul stench. It was still relatively early in the morning, but there were some farmers out working in their fields, along with many cattle in some areas.

Unable to find any familiarity with this farmland, he decided to see if any of the locals could give him some well needed information. Just as he was about to head over to nearest farmer however, Merric heard a voice from behind. He turned around to face the source of the voice and blinked.

The man who stood before him was rather tall and muscular, garbed in eye-catching gold-rimmed blue clothing and a cape. Even seemed to be a swordsman. The more he looked at him, the more he found the man to have a small resemblance to a friend of his.

“Oh, my apologies, but I’m afraid I don’t know the answer to that,” Merric began, placing his hand behind his head and rubbing it slightly. “I was trying to figure that out myself. I… Nothing here seems familiar to me in the slightest. If anything, i’m lost.”

“Blast…” His gaze went from Merric to the village, looking around. With the abundance of farmers it could be automatically assumed to be away from the capital… whatever capital it might be. The area was also peaceful, which was a pleasant change. He looked back to the Mage again, who after observing the area was probably a bit out-of-place like him, he guessed.  ”I’m lost, too, as it seems… You wouldn’t know country this is, then?”

As he talked he carefully checked his belongings, he had weapons, vulneraries, and a bit of pocket cash, but not really anything outside of that. He could survive off that if he needed to, he didn’t have Soren’s budgeting skills maybe, but he could work it out somehow. Wearily he let out a sigh. “Blast…”

"I’m afraid not," the Mage began, shaking his head slightly. "Just last night I was home in Pales sleeping, and when I woke up I somehow ended up here." Merric raised his hand up and placed it on his forehead, letting out a small sigh. "It has absolutely no familiarity to me. I don’t even think i’m on Archanean soil anymore."

He noticed the other man begin to search through his things as they talked but paid little heed to it. Instead, the foul stench of the manure began to flow through the air again and Merric ended up having to cover his nose with his sleeve. “Augh.. This area is wonderfully peaceful, but I could definitely do without that foul odor,” he muttered, annoyed that his plan to ignore it had failed. Trying to wave the stench away, he glanced back up at the swordsman.

"So it seems we both have little to no idea on our current whereabouts. Fantastic… I take it you’re not from here as well then. May I ask where you are from?"

There was nothing in particular to wake him- no drifting scents of food, no shouting or clamor that was generally the ‘usual’ of the base on any given morning. It wasn’t the clanking of armor or the jovial shouts of the other mercenaries, but the chirping of birds that reached his ears first when Ike finally opened his eyes to the morning light.

His vision a blur, he vaguely wondered why it was so bright and if someone had come in and opened a window while he was asleep; this thought was soon negated, however, as his vision refocused itself and he realized he was actually not at the fort after all. Was he dreaming? His hands gripped at blades of grass, pulling out several and dropping them back to the ground as if testing his surroundings before he stood.

Could a dream be this detailed? Then if it wasn’t a dream, why was he here, and why?

Standing around wouldn’t accomplish anything at all, he figured, so with a quick pace he headed through the forest. Where were the others? Was the princess still safe? His thoughts became a jumble of questions that only ceased when the trees thinned out and he saw a village up ahead. He approached the first man he saw, a blue-robed figure.

“Hey- what’s the name of this village?”

[Oh yes, I should go ahead and mention this.

Originally this blog was post Shadow Dragon, so Merric was still studying magic and was not a teacher and the second war didn’t happen yet and whatnot.

I’ve went ahead and made this post New Mystery of the Emblem now, so this Merric is after those events. Thought that’d be important or good to know, especially for those who’ve followed me for a while.

I’ll be changing some headcanons to suit this change soon.

i should probably really finish new mystery of the emblem sometime goodness]
